Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how the Doc Signer mobile and web services handle documents and device information. The app is designed to work primarily on your device. We aim to minimize data collection and give you control over your files.
Not legal advice. This document describes product behavior and privacy practices for Doc Signer.
Documents and PDFs
- PDFs may be temporarily stored for either 7 days or 30 days based on your choice when sending a trackable email. After the selected period, files are scheduled for deletion.
- We do not read, index, or permanently store your PDFs. Any temporary storage exists only to deliver the trackable email or the feature you selected.
- If you are unsure and want a file removed sooner, contact support to request deletion.
- You can clear the app’s data before uninstalling to wipe all locally stored information. On Android, use App info → Storage → Clear data. On iOS, remove the app to erase its local data.
Trackable Email
- Trackable email can send you an automatic status message so you know when a recipient opens or accesses the document. This status mail is auto generated by the system.
- We do not store recipient names, email addresses, or the content of emails beyond what is required to deliver the message in transit.
Personal Information
- We do not store your name, email address, or any personal details on our servers, unless you explicitly provide them to us for support and only for the time needed to handle the request.
- For advertising and analytics, we might use a resettable device identifier provided by your platform, for example the Android Advertising ID or Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers. You can reset or limit these identifiers in your device settings.
Advertising and Analytics
To keep some features free and improve the app, we may integrate third‑party advertising and analytics SDKs. These partners may use a device identifier and basic, non‑personally identifiable events like feature usage or crash diagnostics.

- Controls reset or limit ad tracking in system settings
Your Controls
- Opt out of personalized ads using your device ad settings
- Clear app data to remove local files and caches
- Request document deletion via support
Data Retention
- Local files remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app
- Temporarily stored PDFs for trackable email are scheduled for deletion after 7 or 30 days based on your selection
- Support communications are retained only as long as necessary to resolve your issue
Security
We use industry‑standard measures appropriate for the data we process. No method of storage or transmission is 100 percent secure, so we encourage you to share documents only with trusted parties and to clear app data if you are finished.
User Responsibility
- If you sign any document you will be responsible for it and confirmation of it.
- Once deleted you cannot request a copy from us, as we do not store it and will not be responsible for its loss.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. If there are material updates, we will highlight them in‑app or on our website. The Effective date at the top shows the latest version.
